I don't know what I did but suddenly the web ui was there...

I then faced another problem...something happened that made it lose contact with the wlan mini pci card. Resulting in errors in the web ui ...

I can see the different uses of repeater and WDS. Interesting solution/approach you have going with the switch to WDS...(although that requires that the host is WDS enabled)

Reading the UWR wikipage and the posts here I understand that you need to use another subnet for the repeater than the host router.

Why is it not possible to use the same subnet and only use the DHCP ...

Thanks guys. I guess that adapter would work fine, but since I can buy the cord cheap (~3 dollar) in a local store I will go for that.

Looking at the script for the auto repeater, I've edited it around as best as I can.

I've made the SSID filter instead of exclusive, it's inclusive, so you use your SSID exclusion list as an SSID inc ...

That sounds great!

I have only tested the minimum input voltage of my asus wl500g deluxe and it seams to be somewhere at 4.25 volt. And it draws 1 ampere when idle.

Then get a 6 or 7 volt power supply to make up for the difference.

That's obviously a solution. However most cheap powersupplys I can find gives only up to 1 ampere, which I don't think is enough..

Ok, I had hoped it would be 9 volts..

I don't think it will be possible to use that power adapter to feed through a 20 m network cable. With a voltage drop of around 1 volt ...

No one has a WHR-HP-G54? If you have, please look at what voltage the power adapter outputs and post it here.
