If you look on page 2 for lijianch's post, you'll see that he already did a jtag and that the device seemed to say that it was internally a BCM6358 for some reason. Worth a try using tjtag I think.

What JTAG software will read the flash memory? URJTAG will not see/read the flash on the 7501.

copy the file to /usr/sbin
then run: "airserv-ng -d INTERFACE"
example: airserv-ng -d ath0

Have not yet tried running this on dd-wrt, have been running it on openwrt.
