1) Do not use Auto wireless channel; pick a channel.
(You can use a wifi analyzer app on your phone to pick one if you are in a congested area)
2) You should be using 40MHZ channel width on 2.4

If you use the latest dd-wrt version -r48971 factory-to-ddwrt file YOU WILL already have the latest firmware flashed.
