Just crossed my mind, you can filter out AAAA (IPv6) DNS records by adding in the DNSMasq additional config:
filter-AAAA that way only IPv4 DNS addresses are shown and used by WireGuard |

First this, WireGuard itself is resolving the domain names (with the same mechanism as nslookup) that is out of control of DDWRT.

Well there is no dns resolution that is why wireguard is constantly retrying to resolve the endpoint and fail in the end
Just to test use the ip address instead of the domain. |

There does not seem to be any DNS resolution so either your DNS resolution is not setup correctly or there are startup problems maybe related to the use of a wireless wan connection.
