Those errors are not very much but do signal you have some interference.
You might try other channels

Did you test iperf with -P 8.

Do you have CTF + FA enabled on Basic Setup Page ?

It's a Netgear R6300. I tried power cycling, it does not respond to ping. I am trying to flash the firmware using TFTP now but I am getting timeouts.

Probably a typo but no router can get 500 MB/s you probably mean Mb/s.

Measuring speed can be done via lot of ways, real throughput testing is done with two clients running iperf3.

SFE has no relation to DNS.

A lot of people (including me) do not use SFE and have perfectly normal DNS.

So there might be something wrong in your setup.
