In the latest guide the most recent tested version is 51440.

But if you look in the build threads 51530 should also be good.

Static leases can be set in the Additional DNSMasq options e.g.:
dhcp-host=BC:EE:7B:AB:CD:EF,pc-download,192.168.1.59,1440m

You can get your current entries with:
grep dhcp-host /tmp/dnsmasq.conf ...

I think it was already mentioned but for the OpenVPN client make sure you have the "Inbound Firewall on TUN" and the "Killswitch" enabled for security.

First start with creating a bridge and add your VAP (Virtual Wifi interface) to that bridge then use Policy based routing to simply route the new interface ...

If you have SFE (Shortcut Forwarding Engine on Setup page) enabled then as a test disable it.
SFE sometimes plays strange routing tricks.

It is not an old build you are coming from, so I would simply upgrade.

If you experience problems you can always reset to defaults and put settings in manually, but first try with simple upgrade.
