Read the supported models in that directory: http://desipro.de/ddwrt/K3-AC-Arm/Supported%20Models

So for a plain R7000 you need the dd-wrt.v24-K3_AC_ARM_STD.bin

Before upgrading make screenshots ...

Glad you got it working.

Regarding a kill switch, a "normal" kill switch just blocks the WAN and that will not work for you, you only must block WAN for the IP addresses in the PBR field. ...

If you only want your static leases, once you have created them in DDWRT copy them from /temp/dnsmasq.conf

Lines start with dhcphost like:
dhcp-host=14:76:A2:4B:12:9C,R7800,192.168.0.4,1440m

I would use the PFsense box if possible, alternatively consider setting up the R8500 as a WAP: https://wiki.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Wireless_access_point

If you are using an unbridged VAP on a WA ...

Use the PIA guide, but start without anything in the PBR field so that everything is routed via the VPN and start without a kill switch.

If it works than enable PBR.

The coming days I have to setup an R7800 and will test it my self but i the mean time i like to know if it is a VPN problem or a PBR problem.
