just use client mode on the wireless tab (instead of client bridge), then set whatever net you want on the "network setup" section of the setup tab

I put it on my GSv1 this morning and it was crippled to sub-dialup speeds.

Internet -> wrt2 (public wifi) -> wrt1 (private wifi and LAN)

Then wrt1 would automatically treat wrt2 as an external net putting a firewall between the tw ...
