Yes, I did now, but I got the same result: scrambled unidentifiable text.

Did you save those settings and then open up your saved profile with those settings when using putty?

I selected the correc port: COM3.

How did you set up putty? Did you use the settings form the serial recovery wiki?

I would think so, because the putty window would not open.

When I switch pins, it will show an error message window.

Did you find the serial pinout?

I have established some communication via USB serial recovery with my bricked tp-link Archer C7 AC1750.

With the bricked Trendnet tew-812dru all the lights went on, but no communication established ...
