Its pretty straight forward, Just enable it on GUI: Wireless mode to "Mesh / 802.11s" on the radio that you want to mesh in all routers that you want to be in mesh network.

use a valid channel supported by the device which i doubt u are doing. ddwrt offers a bus load of broken invalid channels & the developer doesnt even believe it. start with 36+UU vht80
