Adjusting DHCP in that manner, connecting everything only to the WAP R7800 with a release/renew, then powering up the C7000 did the trick.

That makes sense, thanks for the dhcp lesson. I was always under the impression it was the other way around.

Maybe I should spend some time learning about how dhcp works 😁

It seems my upload totals are actually my download totals and vice versa. I'm not sure how this is happening but I'm about to draw out the way I have it all connected and see if it's the way I've got ...
