Peacock Announcement Note 6. If ALL you did was a hard reset you might have a hardware failure. That is not uncommon with a 300n v1.1.

If DHCP is disabled because you have disabled it or are running in a bridged mode (client bridge, repeater bridge) you will not have static DNS because the router is bridged.

You likely want repeater bridge, but not sure if that is available with the atheros dir615. It would be with the 160 if it is a v1 or v3 and you put dd-wrt on it.

There is no need to change builds. That is a great build for your router. If you want to change, make sure you have a reason. The process is at note 1 of the peacock. See note 4 too.
