I have had your pm thanks and having read it I think your are expecting the R7000 to do DHCP which when in repeater bridge mode it doesn't as DHCP is handled by your main router and turned off on the ...

I have just pm'd you a backup of mine but I would suggest you ask the question on the forum about installing it on your R7000 as I do not know if it is safe for you to do so.

Unless you have had a change of mind or have already sorted things and assuming you are in the UK the Firestick 4k's are currently on special at Argos, Currys and Amazon for £29.99.

I use Kodi on the 4k Firestick to play videos stored on SSD's plugged in to the router by setting up an SMB share within DD-WRT. You can also use within DD-WRT DLNA or NFS neither of which I have both ...

I do not profess to be an expert on DD-WRT and you may need someone with more knowledge than me to answer the question properly but from memory yes you can.

To do what I think you are trying to do ...

Unless you absolutely love the Roku and can't dream of being without it get a Firestick 4k and put Kodi on it.

You will then use the WRT as the NAS and Kodi as the player with no need to have Xboxe ...

If you are trying to connect the Buffalo by Wi-Fi as 2.4ghz to the access point then set the Buffalo as a repeater bridge on WL0

Once you have done that set WL1 (5ghz) as an access point.

Is it easy for you to physically swop the EA8500 with the AC68U and have the EA8500 as the RB and the AC68U as the AP for a couple of days to test things?

Reason for this is that I have in the past ...

Over a number of years I have run WNDR4500's, RT N66U's and R7000's where one acts as the AP and one acts as the RB and have never had this problem.

I am currently running an R7000 as an AP and an ...
