If you had read my previous posts, you would have seen I had to use a serial, or TTL to USB, cable to get it to work.

It appears the latest stock firmware has a block on it disallowing any firmware ...

I used the flash command which allowed me to push the firmware, however it now states:

Checking crc...Invalid boot block on disk
Device eth0 has been deactivated.
Device eth0: hwaddr B0-39-56-E9 ...

As I feared, when attempting to tftp it returned with the error:

Not allow to downgrade firmware V1.0.2.99_1.1.99!

Any way to get around this? Erasing nvram maybe?

I tried that with the same result. I hooked up my TTL to USB cable and watched as it attempted to apply any firmware updates. The result was always as follows:

fileSize = xxxxxxxxx

The box, the router's tag, and the web GUI all say R8000/AC3200. There's no mention of X6S or AC4000 anywhere.

There wasn't any mention of using the oldest valid build for the Factory to DD-WRT flash, so I hadn't tried it. I just gave it a go and it gave the same error.
