Although a reformat of the USB NAS to ext4 always solves the write issues, it doesn't help that the NAS can't be consistantly available to devices other than those that can write to ext4 (iPads, Mac, ...

Figured out how to set the router's port speed from the command line. It's actually pretty well described in Example
On the r7000 router, setting switch port 1 to 100/full duplex (assuming default se ...

Did you reset to factory after the firmware update? If not, try that first and reenter the settings (do not restore a backup of settings from another firmware version).
Did you try to go back to the ...

Changed the USB connection to the front port on my r7000.
This immediately boosted NAS throughput. With the CPU overclocked to 1200 MHz, idle CPU went from about 30% to 5%, boosting write transfer s ...

Looks like it boots. Have your tried to reset to factory default?
If not, execute "nvram erase && reboot" on the command line.

Stock runs at 1000 MHz. I wouldn't go higher than 1200 MHz. Execute these commands:
nvram set clkfreq=1200,800
nvram commit && reboot

You could overclock the R7000 ... not sure if the speed increase is directly proportional, though. There may be other bottlenecks besides CPU.

Install the latest build. And I would definitely recommend the factory reset coming from an old build. You can always restore backed-up settings if that doesn't help.

Is QoS on? You set bandwidth l ...
