the airlink website only shows the 1.01 firmware and no longer the 1.00 original firmware.

Also I can't even reach the recovery page so maybe this thing is bricked.

the netmask of 255.255.255.255 is when the DSL Modem is in half-bridge mode and NZ telecom uses PPPoA.

Now I upgraded the AR430W to dd-wrt v24 SP1 and the internet no longer works.

yes getting AR430W on sale for $18 is a very hot deal for a great router once flashed to DD-WRT.

I already stacked up when it was $20 last time.
