The latest builds of OpenWRT for 4MB routers, including the one you link to above, have dropped PPP, but older ones have it. I'm looking at having a custom build done.

If you wish to do VLANs, you will have to use a startup script using swconfig.

I haven't had much success using the swconfig utility for any purpose on the Atheros builds of DD-WRT. It works fine ...
