yeah unreadable.

but i believe i know the reason. nvme devices are not shown as /dev/sda etc. but /dev/nvme0 etc. need to look into this

your whole test is bullshit. consider that on this platform there is a "nvram" and a "nvram_cfe" partition. the original cfe nvram keeps untouched. no matter what you're doing
