Yes, maybe i should have attached a tcpdump of the traffic, but it seemed overkill at the first posting.

I found a solution: i upgraded to a newer build, and the issue was resolved.

I upgraded to dd-wrt.v24-15943_NEWD-2_K2.6_big.bin and folloed the instructions. It worked!

I get terrific throughput with the new v24, but when i copy/move large files over the wireless lan, rates goes down from 2,6 Mb/s to a near halt after a few minutes.
