| Does it have to do with my WAN DHCP lease time (1440 min = 1 day)?
on my XR500 my local DCHP lease time is 360...but my WAN is dynamic where its a 1440...but as KP-69 noted if WAN dynamic IP renew ... |

| i dont have this issue..but i suspect a user error/ bad set up
we need to know what are your general DNS settings and ways to reproduce the error, logs and ect. otherwise the help will be limited ... |

| hmmm on my R7000 that is on the same LAN with ISP router and on the ISP router there ware clients that i dont want to communicate, nor to see any of its DHCP with my R7000, i used this rule...

| i don't think local dns use is mentioned in the guide, as egc made the guide
and we all know the only use of local dns is very limited vap/wap … this guide is imposting of the main subject/guide ... |

| hmm interesting case.. i would never use ebtables unless is a must
in general those request will be filtered and not cause issues but depends from case and use you can block mac addresses and ports ... |
